Collection: Studio Tisa
Studio Tisa is small contemporary bookbinding brand, crafted with care by Nina Stanarević. Studio Tisa products can be used as sketchbooks, photo-albums, scrapbooks, baby-books, cook-books, notepads, journals, diaries, scrapbooks... Each and every one of sketchbooks is unique. From thick paper, through recycled, and finally some alternative types - focus is always on quality of paper. All the diaries are made from recycled paper, which consists of 15% agro-industrial waste and about 40% post-consumer waste recycled fibers, with the remainder coming from responsibly managed FSC-certified forests. Covers are from natural materials such as cotton, linen, wool, rayon. Sustainable and eco design is very important, so often recycled materials are used such as clothing, table cloths or pillow cases for covers of books, or mixed odd papers for the insides. At the moment, from five types of bindings that she uses, all of them are non-adhesive bings, or bindings without using glue. She experiments and uses a lot of crafts in her practise, so you will find often sketchbooks adorned with weavings on their spines, or embroidery on their covers. Finally, for some time now, she's been exploring and experimenting with natural dyeing and extracting pigments from plants. Often some of those experiments end up on covers of sketchbooks.
