Hotel Bristol - Bojan Stojčić

The book is a visual history of the city of Sarajevo that over a period of two decades follows the activities of a subcultural group and a generation of adults in transition from a collapsed post-socialist society to a society driven by the neoliberal race for public goods.

Bojan Stojčić (b.1988) is one of the clearest voices of the recent Bosnian and Herzegovinian contemporary art.  He received his Master’s degree from the Academy of Fine Arts in Sarajevo and began his artistic practice in the Ideologija creative team closely collaborating with Anur Hadžiomerspahić. Central to his expression are simple interventions in everyday life, through which the instantaneity, poetics, traces and politics of his subjects is emphasized. His work is recognized and represented in renowned art institutions as well as private collections in the US and Europe.
